New Orleans Hornets Beats Miami Heat Chris Paul Monster Game For MVP NBA 2010-2011
Two years the New Orleans Hornets had a great start in the NBA it was because of Chris Paul MVP type of performance. They almost beat the Spurs to win the western conference crown but they failed. The next season was also a disappointment as they were hurt by their all-star pointguard's injury. After a year of disappointments because of his groin injury, Chris Paul is finally back. He has finally recovered from that devastating injury that caused them to miss last year's NBA playoffs.
I still believe in Chris Paul!
The NBA 2010-2011 Season has just started and Chris Paul is once again having an MVP type of season once again. He averages 23 points and 6 assists per game. He said that it's the fruits of his pre season workouts, discipline, diet and hardwork. The Hornets are on a 5 game winning streak and it's because of Chris Paul's leadership and clutch performance. They are the only unbeaten team in the southwest division.
Many have grown sour with the Hornets because of their poor showing in the NBA 2010 summerleague. But, now that they have gotten their groove and momentum and most importantly they're winning, those who left the bandwagon for Hornets championship this year have now come back.
One of the test this year for the New Orleans Hornets will happen when they go against the Miami Heat earlier this November. In their game against the Heat Chris Paul Scored 13 points and he dished out 19 assists while his stinging partner Ameka Okafor had 26 points and 13 rebounds. They went of to beat the scary Miami Heat with the score of 96-93.
The Hornets dominated the game from the start down to the fourth quarter. They had a 14-4 run against the Heat. The Heat rallied in the third quarter but their efforts were put to waste by Chris Paul. He is definitely rejuvenated and he is ready to get that MVP award this year.
