Tim Lincecum Giants Pitcher To The Rescue Against Rangers

Tim Lincecum was a Filipino American professional baseball player. He plays for the San Francisco Giants. He was born on the 15th of July 1984. His nickname is The Freak, because of his very fast throws. He's an ambidextrous player. He throws using his right hand and he bats using his left hand.

Many other players envy him because he is just 5'11 in height and yet he can throw quick and sharp passes with ease. When he throws the baseball it runs 90-93 mph. He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants on June 30 2005. But before that he was drafted by several MLB teams but he was not given any contract.

Of all the Filipino American players who ever played in MLB he was the only one who really made all the Filipinos proud. The Filipinos all over the world celebrated with the championship of the San Francisco Giants but most of all to celebrate being a Filipino athelete. Tim Lincecum is a Filipino and he stood out in the Giants and Rangers final game as he throws his fast ball that baffled their opponents. He scored several strike outs.

The World Series games were all thrillers. Both of the teams refused to win but it was the experience of the Giants that carried them. The score in the first game was 11-7. Both of the team's aces hit hard. Tim Lincecum had a great game. The score in the second game was 14-11. Tim had another great game. He scored ateast three strike outs. The Filipino Fans in and outside the stadium as well as those who are watching thru their televisions celebrated with Tim. They have been supporting him since the time when the Colorado Rockies beat the San Francisco Giants in 1962 in the Fall Classic.


In the final game, the rangers struck first and they put up two runs for the first two winnings but the Giants made their own run in the third and then six more runs at the bottom of the fifth inning and then hold on as the Rangers added three runs in the top of the ninth. Second basement Freddie Sanchez have four hits three runs batted in and two runs scored for the Giants who became the winners.

Third basement Juan Yiribei added one on a three run homer on the fifth. Vladimir Guererro had two runs for the Rangers but he committed a costly error which helped the giants score three runs.

Thank you Tim for making the Filipinos proud once more. Filipinos are really world class.
