Georgia State Football First Game Ever
After several years of being left out because their University doesn't have a Football team to brag and cheer about, finally the long wait is over as the Georgia State University has finally goten their own football team- Georgia State University Panthers.
It has been twelve long years since 1997 that the whole studentry has long time waited to have their beers during their class breaks while watching their football team play. They were so envious to other neighboring universities such as Georgia Tech because of their loud and jubilous cheers during noon breaks for their team. It was such a break through for them.
They have 70, 000 student population, they have been very eager to cheer for their football team. They are all praying that this year would be the year that they will get to watch their very own team play against other universities. Their prayers were answered as the School board officials finally allowed their football team join the NCAA football league.
On September 3, 2010 their dreams came true. The dormant Georgia Dome was once again packed by 30, 000 students including their professors and non-teaching personnels to watch and support their team. It resulted to a win. Their wait was all worth it.
