Kiefer Ravena FIBA Asia U-18 Awardee 2010
The Philippines failed to enter the semi-finals of the Fiba-Asia Under-18 tournament but their best teenager cager, the 5'11 Kiefer Ravena of the Ateneo Blue Eaglets was named Best Forward by AsiaBasket.com after the U-18 Championship in Yemen last week. With the loss, Kiefer said, "the fourth straight championship of Ateneo in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines is my next priority."
Kiefer is the sole filipino to recieve an award. He won the best forward award. The other players who belonged to the elite cirlce of honors are the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Best Center of the tournament Wang Zhelin of China, the best Guard Kim Giyun of South Korea and Best Defensive Player Amer Al Sati of Iran. Take note of their names because who knows, they might be in the NBA someday.
