Pasig River Run/Marathon 2010
The Pasig River was the center of Philippine trade during the olden times. After the post spanish era its importance has been disregarded by the Filipinos. It's beauty, grace and cleanliness has declined. It has been closely reduced to waste by the indifferent Filipinos themselves. I believe that no one can bring it back to its usual form but the Filipinos themselves.
There is an advocacy that the ABS-CBN Channel 2 has started. It is designed to rejuvenate the Pasig River. And as part of their advocacy is a fun run to raise enough funds for the cleaning project of the Pasis River. For just 250 pesos as an entrance fee you and your family and friends can join the marathon for a big cause bring back the good old Pasig River. The expected number of participants is 120,000 comprising of people coming from all walks of life and from all ages. The said fee would include a free unitard uniform.
The marathon has three starting points. The 3k run would start in Mall of Asia. The 5k run would be in the CCP Complex and the 10k run would be in Makati. The finish line would be in Mall of Asia.
