Ronjay Buenafe PBA Basketball Profile

Ron Jayson Buenafe was born on May 25, 1983. He is known by nmany as Ronjay Buenafe. His idol is the skywalker Samboy Lim. He is a Filipino professional basketball player who currently plays for the Air 21 Express in the Philippine Basketball Association.

During his rookie year, he made a huge impact and was considered the biggest draft steal among his batch. A member of the All-Rookie Team in 2007-08 campaign, the former Emilio Aguinaldo College standout had a steady sophomore season with the Tigers after averaging 11.1 points per game, almost duplicating his 11.2 average in his rookie year with Coke. He played 32 games and started four times last season with the Tigers and contributed 2.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. Buenafe could be the perfect player for Burger King as he is deadly on the open-court type of offense.

The six-foot-one combo guard could ease down the offensive burden on Gary David and with the exit of Arwind Santos to San Miguel, it won't be surprising if Buenafe has a banner year this coming season.
