All the hype that the Philippine Women's National Basketball has brought to our shores is indeed genuine. They have made the Filipino nation proud by beating the SEABA favorites Thailand National Women's Team who has been the two-time SEABA champion, with the score of 76-54. They have won the 2010 SEABA crown and that means they will have a slot in the upcoming Sea Games.

It was our Philippine Women's team's first SEABA title ever. There's really a reason to celebrate the win. They have just proven that even the Thais are taller and bulkier they can still find a way to win through their skills and strategy.

Joan Grajales led the Philippine Team with 14 points which is made up of three three pointers. She was helped by Diana Jose with 12 points to seal the fate of their Thai foes.

Caoch Haydee Ong said “Nasunod lahat ng game plan namin. They played great from start to finish at hindi sila bumitaw.”

The former Adamson Univesity Falcon and former UAAP women's basketball Merenciana Arayi also had important markers for the team. The tall and beautiful Cassie Tioseco whose from the Ateneo Lady Eagles grabbed the most needed rebounds for her team. She had 13 rebounds.

The Thai coach said in disgust, “I have injured players so I have problems with my team. But I’m not going to dwell on this loss and instead look beyond our campaign in the Asian Games.”

Once again congratutlations Ladies!
