UCONN 82 Wins In A Row, Way Ahead Than Baylor: Showing Women Power
The University of Connecticut Huskies Women's Basketball Team has once again made a record when they beat Howard with the score of 82-25 in their NCAA game yesterday.
Their ace baller Maya Moore had 20 points for the Huskies which helped them win the game. They eventually broke their 81 game winning streak tie record with the Washing University and St. Louis University starting from February 20, 1998 to January 12, 2001.
Coach Geno Auriemma UCONN's head coach said that they must not succumb to the pressure of getting that 82nd win. They have won enough games that placed them in history. It is enough for us to be happy. Whatever happens, it's still our destiny.
The game day came. Connecticut had an early 9-0 lead over Howard. Howard fought tooth and nail but in the 3rd quarter, UCONN already had a 70-18 lead. The score was not that manageable for Howard. They are in a deep hole.
It was UCONN's center that pave the way for them up to the last buzzer.
With the win over Howard they have now gained the most coveted 82 game winning streak.
