Kevin Durant, last year's NBA scoring champion is leading the NBA 2010 All Star voting among West Forwards. He has the most significant number of votes. This immense popularity that he is experiencing is due primarily to his successful FIBA World Championship stint in Turkey. He is a leader who led the Team USA to its another gold medal finish in FIBA World Championship. At this point in time, he already have 471,000 votes from all over the globe. His popularity has become viral. At his age, which is 22, he has achieved many things that a normal being can do. He is a franchise player, a vocal leader who leads a crop of talented people who came from different places, and most of all he is last year's scoring champion.

Pau Gasol is closely trailing behind him. Pau already have 80,000 votes. In terms of the Weste guard positions (pointguards and shooting guards) Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, Manu Ginobili, Steve Nash are in the thick of things fighting for a starting slot in the All Star game in 2011.

In the Eastern Conference, the same persons from the last all star game are on the top of the voting for next year's All Star game. The franchise changer, Amar'e Stoudemire, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and Kevin Garnett.

LeBron James leads the voting in the East. He already have 608,000 votes . He is being closely followed by the Big Ticket, Kevin Garnett with 500,000 votes. Amar'e is on the 3rd spot with 480,000 votes.

On the East's guard postions, Dwyane Wade is leading the voting. He is being closely followed by Rajon Rondo and Derrick Rose.

Dwight Howard leads all the East's centers.

The NBA All-Star Game 2010 will be on Feb. 20, 2011. It'll be at Staples Center in Los Angeles. It will be live on TNT.

The starters for each side will be announced on Jan. 27 in the pre-game show on TNT at 7pm Eastern Time.
