B-Meg Derby Ace Beats Talk ‘N Text: Evens Series With Game 2 Semis Win

It was a semis game that will be a talk of the town for several weeks. If in the NBA you have Michael Jordan's fever game against the Utah Jazz that resulted to a win, in the PBA you also have James Yap's colds and cough game and it also resulted to a win. B-Meg Derby Ace wins via 88-87 over TNT. James Yap nailed the game winning shot despite his illness.

James Yap was limited by the TNT's tight and pesky defense to just 13 points. He shot an ugly 2-of-12 from the field. He was helped by the healthy PJ Simon who had 28 points. Rico Maierhofer had 14 points and his sky high partner, KG Canaleta had 10 points. The Llamados had a balanced scoring.

Jimmy Alapag was the best player for TNT. He scored 18 points. Kelly Williams had 17 and 11 rebounds for Talk 'N Text.

The Llamados led in the first half but TNT had a great rally to trim B-Meg's lead in the second half. The Llamados led 52-37 in the first few minutes of the 3rd quarter but due to coach Chot Reyes' wisdom and veteran smarts he was able to lead his players in trimming down the lead to just a single digit in the 4th and last quarter.

TNT was able to get the lead through Kelly Williams' dunk but James Yap answered with a game winner.
