Kobe Bryant Wins MVP Award In NBA All-Star Game 2011 Los Angeles



Kobe Bryant has done it again for the West All-Stars as he carried his team to victory over the East All-Stars. They won with the score of 148-143.

Kobe was named as the most valuable player of the game. He had 37 points and 14 rebounds. He has won his 4th All-Star MVP award. He has proven time and time again that he is the best player in the NBA. He showed an accurate shooting from the field and he showed that he can still go hard to the basket.

He showed to all of his fans that he can still do slam dunks. Kobe said that that he wants to put on a great show in Los Angeles. He thinks that this will be his last All-Star game in Los Angeles. It will take several years before the All-Star game goes back to Los Angeles and Kobe may no longer be there.
Pau Gasol and Blake Griffin also wowed their home crowd. Gasol had 17 points including that very important putback in the 4th quarter that gave the West All-Stars a 4 point lead.

The reigning scoring champion, Kevin Durant also made some valuable contributions for the West All-Stars. He had 34 points.

LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant were the 3 leading players who fought for the MVP award. James had a double-double performance in this game but Kobe's output gained a greater weight.

Derrick Rose struggled in the game. He had a hard time containing the passing abilities of Chris Paul.
