Shakey 's V-league Season 8 First Conference Teams and Guest Players 2011

Below are the following teams along with their chosen guest players who agreed to participate in the Shakey's V-League Season 8 1st Conference. The UST Tigresses and the DLSU lady spikers will not join the new season because they're just fresh from the UAAP Season 73 Women's Volleyball finals. They will have to take a break. In effect there will only be 11 teams who will try to win the v-league title. The games will start on April 3, 2011 at The Arena in San Juan City.

The participating teams are:

SSC-R- Lou An and Suzanne Roces
FEU- Rachelle Anne Daquis and Wenneth
LPU (Lyceum)- Mary Jean Balse and Santrong
ADU- Nerissa Bautista and Nic Nic Laborte
ADMU- Valdez and Kesinee
USLS (University of St. La Salle)- Pido and Areerat
UPHD- Alarca and Santos
NU- Din Din Santiago and Vivas
RTU (may not participate)- Dojer and Cruz
SWU (Southwestern University in Cebu)- Suraswadee and Verano
CSB( may not participate)- Jindarat Kanchana and Stephanie Mercado

The favorite teams this new season are Adamson and Ateneo. They have been playing good. Ateneo has shown that they can compete with the UAAP's elite teams such as DLSU and UST. Adamson on the other hand will be unstoppable because of Nene Baustista. They are deemed to go all the way for a possible 2 peat in the V-league.

The new season format will remove the team groupings or brackets and as a consequence, the 2 bottom teams will be eliminated. The other 8 remaining teams will fight in the quarter finals.
