NOLA (New Orleans) Goes Down Against Los Angeles Lakers,100-86 in Game 3 2011 NBA Playoffs

Pau Gasol redeemed himself after performing below his average in games 1 and 2 of their first round playoff series against NOLA (New Orleans Hornets). He led the Lakers to a 100-86 win. He had 17 points including a booming three pointer in front of the Hornets' bench which took away the stings of the Hornets. Many sport scribes consider this Game 3 as the most important game in a best of 7 series. Pau Gasol showed that he wanted this game more than anyone else on the court. Did you see his facial expression when he didn't get the three point play in the third quarter? He even made a sign of the cross and it made me respect this guy more. He is definitely the best big man in the league right now.

Kobe Bryant, has been the Kobe that we know. He always has some venoms in his cold hands. My heart always jumps whenever he makes a shot from behind the arc. I can really feel that those shots will go in and they did. He took it upon himself to guard the unstoppable Chris Paul. Paul had a hard time in the third and fourth quarters. Kobe scored 30 huge points. Kobe thanked Pau for a job well done.

The Lakers did a great job in maintaining a ten point lead advantage in the start of every quarters. The Hornets did a great job in handling Adrew Bynum. Emeka Okafor and Carl Laundry did their best to stop Bynum. Laundry also helped Chris Paul in scoring. Paul had 22 points but he was silenced by Bryant in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

Marco Belinelli had a bad game. His usual three point shooting was not present in this game. He should practice more. Paul needs him in order for them to win this series. Belinelli had a 1 out of 5 shooting from the field.

Game 4 will still be in New Orleans and that will be on Sunday night, Monday in the Philippines.
