Antonio McDyess Retires After Spurs Lost To Memphis

After the Spurs' devastating lost against the Memphis Grizzlies, their old players are considering the idea of retiring. Antonio McDyess is one of them. He didn't expect that they will make an early exit in the playoffs because his team has the second best record in the NBA. The Spurs' coaching staff said that McDyess is playing thru the pain. He has a neck injury. They said:
“His neck still ached and his left arm still tingled after Friday’s Game 6 loss to the Grizzlies ended the Spurs’ season. What hurt Antonio McDyess the most was his heart."

Who would have thought that this would be his last game. McDyess said:
"This was my last game,’ the 16-year veteran said. ‘I’m pretty definite on that. But this was not the way I wanted it to end."

His injury has been recurring and that prompted him to retire. He suffered another stinger on his left arm when he tried to defend Zach Randolph. A stinger injury happens when you feel numbness and you lose control of a part of your body. I felt bad for this fellow. At least he retired with a championship ring.
