Miami Heat Beats Dallas Mavericks In Game 1 NBA Finals 2011

The Miami Heat burned the Dallas Mavericks in the game 1 of their NBA Finals series. LeBron and the Heat are now 3 wins away from starting their own dynasty in the NBA. LeBron was unstoppable in this game especially during the latter part of the game. He made 24 points and he made 2 crucial three pointers that killed the hopes of the Mavericks. Dwyane Wade on the other hand had 22 points and 10 rebounds to help LeBron in scoring. He still has a bad left shoulder but he withstood the pain and asked his Fil-am coach, Erik Spoelstra to field him in despite his injury. James and LeBron combined for 46 point to beat the taller Dallas Mavericks, 92 to 84.

Dirk Nowitzki's fortitude to win was tested by LeBron and Dirk seemed to be weaker than James in terms of having the will to win. Dirk still has a lot more things to do if he wants to reach the level of Larry Bird. What I remember about Bird are his hustle plays, his fearless plays on the court, and of course his excellent shooting. Dirk already have an excellent shooting but when it comes to the NBA Finals you need to throw everything away and play as if there's no tomorrow. The consistency to play hard and to play with almost no regard to human life, that's what sets apart Bird from Nowitzki. If only he had those little dare devil plays, he will help Dallas win a championship against the powerful Miami Heat. In other words, Dirk will never beat the likes of Wade and LeBron because those two are willing to put everything on the line unlike Dirk.

As you can see, the final score was still manageable for Dallas. That's because Shawn Marion had a double-double game. He had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Dallas. You can see it in his eyes that he still wants to show that he's the Matrix and that he can still go against the likes of James and Wade, but unfortunately they lost to the Heat. Dirk Nowitzki on the other hand only had 27 points. That's a proof that the Heat did a solid job against him. He usually scores 30 to 40 points if the game is on the line but he only had 27 in this all important game 1. Kudos to the Heat for doing a solid job against the Big German. Game 2 will be on Thursday, Western Time and Friday, Eastern Time.

I can now hear the Miami fans singing their Miami Heat song right now. I bet they are happy with this game 1 win. 3 more wins and LeBron's sacrifices - having a smaller salary and a smaller house in South Beach will all be worth it if they bag the NBA 2010-2011 Finals trophy.

Here's the Heat Anthem. Let's listen to this song that's made by Flo Rida.
