PBA Governors' Cup 2011 SemiFinals' Scenarios After Alaska's Win Today Against Rain or Shine
The scenarios concerning this year's PBA Governors' Cup are slowly dwindling and becoming less complicated compared to last week's scenarios. Last week, I was very thankful that Mr. Percival Go helped us in clarifying the complicated situation of the PBA Governors' Cup's Semi-Finals. Thankfully, today he dissected again the latest scenarios after Alaska's win over Rain or Shine. Rain or Shine is now eliminated and the race for the 2nd slot in the PBA Finals is now limited to 3 teams, namely Alaska, Petron and Ginebra. The question now is who will win the 2nd Finals Slot? That will be answered on Friday. But first, here are the latest PBA Semi-finals scenarios that were made by our dear friend Percival Go. Thanks!
1. If Ginebra LOSE against Rain or Shine (ROS) on Friday they will have a 7-6 win-loss record. They will be eliminated.
2. If Ginebra WINS against ROS they will have an 8-5 win-loss record. Thus:
a) If Petron wins, Petron will enter the Finals. They will be tied with Ginebra at 8-5 a piece and resolved via quotient.
PETRON +11
ALASKA +8
GINEBRA -19
b) If Petron LOSES, Ginebra will enter the Finals. Alaska and Ginebra will be tied at 8-5, but because of equal quotient of 0, it will resolve by a conference quotient. Their quotient so far:
GINEBRA +21
ALASKA +16
And to keep it simple I found this very interesting Tweet of Snow Badua. He Tweeted that:
SCENARIO: 1.)PETRON + BGK = PETRON 2.)PETRON + ROS = ALASKA 3.) TNT + BGK = BGK 4.) TNT + ROS = ALASKA
