Shopinas To Trade Mark Barroca To B-Meg in Exchange for Bryan Ilad?

The Shopinas.com Clickers are looking to add another former De La Salle Green Archer, Bryan Ilad in their line-up for the upcoming PBA Season 37. They Clickers are willing to trade their 5th pick in this year's PBA draft, Mark Barroca, in exchange for Bryan Ilad.

But apparently, I learned from another article that this trade was planned even before the draft. Shopinas agreed to pick the choice of B-Meg and vice versa.

The team governor of B-MEG, Mr. Rene Pardo further explained the agreement to the media. He said that:

“The deal is for them to pick the player of our choice, which turned out to be Barroca and we will pick the player of their choice, which is Bryan Ilad. Based on the agreement, Barroca should end up with us, but they will still get additional players and we will still discuss it in the coming days.”

For me, if this trade will happen, B-Meg will be the team that will benefit the most because they need a bigger and a more reliable point-guard to serve as a back-up for the ailing Roger Yap and that's Mark Barroca. But Shopinas will also benefit in this trade. They will get a big man in Bryan Ilad. He is a strong player and a very good re-bounder. But the problem is that he is a hot-headed player. During his college days he punched a player that caused his suspension from the UAAP. And also, on top of Ilad, Shopinas will also get additional players from B-Meg.
