Don Don Hontiveros Out For 2-3 Games For Petron In PBA Season 37 Due To Calf Muscle Strain Injury
Dondon the "Cebuano Hotshot" Hontiveros of the Petron Blaze Boosters might miss 2-3 games because of the Calf Muscle Strain injury that he suffered in the earlier part of their first game in the PBA Season 37 All Filipino Cup against the B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados last Wednesday. He himself confirmed that he will be out for 2-3 games.
Thankfully the injury that he suffered was only a minor injury and that he will only have to sit out at least 2 or 3 of their games. Though we can't deny the fact that his temporary absence might hurt Petron because they already have a short rotation. They don't have Rabeh and Jay Washington and this time, Don Don is also out.
But on the positive side, their rookie, Chris Lutz, who showed a lot of stability and courage in his debut game, will be able to get more minutes because Don Don is out. Lutz might be able to duplicate his nice scoring game last Wednesday when he scored 19 big points as a rookie.
Petron's next opponents will be the Barako Bull (October 7) and the Shopinas.com Clickers.
