Mark Borboran Traded To Meralco Bolts But Petron Also Wants Him: Where Will He Go?

The trade between the Alaska Aces and the Meralco Bolts has been approved by the Commissioner's Office. The trade involves Meralco's 2nd round picks for the year 2013 and 2014 and Alaska's Mark Borboran. Borboran will go to Meralco in exchange for those draft picks.

But apparently, after the Aces didn't renew Borboran's contract, the Petron Blaze Boosters made an offer to Borboran worth 275,000-320,000 pesos per month. And then, here comes the Meralco Bolts.

Coach Ryan Gregorio of the Bolts said that they really want Borboran to be in their team because they lack players who can play the small forward position. He added that they are willing to match Petron's offer to Borboran just to be able to get the versatile lefty who played 3 seasons with the Aces.

The PBA Office said that they are giving Mr. Villavicencio and the rest of the Meralco Bolts' management 5 days to match the offer of Petron. If they will fail to match it, Borboran will play for Petron.
