Rob Reyes To Sign 1 Year Contract With Petron Blaze Boosters In The PBA Season 37 All Filipino Cup 2011
Rob Reyes previously said that he will go back to the United States for a semi-retirement, but he also added that he will consider playing again in the PBA if there's a nice offer coming from a PBA team. Well, I guess here's the big offer that he's been waiting for.
Mr. Noli Eala of the San Miguel Corporation Tweeted that:
Well, it's just that Petron is in dire need of players because Jay Washington is not available for them and just recently, Don Don Hontiveros injured his calf muscle. They really need the services of an athletic guy like Rob Reyes who can rebound and who can score at the same time.
To those who don't know Rob, he was the former 4th overall pick of the Talk 'n Text Tropang Texters in the year 2008-2009 Season, but sadly in his rookie season he didn't play well, thus he was traded to the Barako Bull in the following Season wherein he averaged 5.26 points. But then again, he was traded to Powerade in the PBA Season 36. He averaged 4.57 points with the Tigers in just 16 minutes of playing in each of their games. Hopefully this time, he'll be able to show what he can do for Petron. He may already play in Petron's 3rd game in the PBA Season 37.
