The San Beda Red Lions roared in the NCAA Season 87 Men's Basketball Finals Game 1. They dumped the San Sebastian Golden Stags in the 1st game of the NCAA season 87 Finals via 75-63.

Mar Villahermosa, garnered 15 points in this game. He found his comfort spots in this game as he fired continuous buckets. He made 11 of his 15 points in the very crucial and very thrilling 4th quarter. His fine performance helped the Lions establish their biggest lead in the game, 59-70.
Baser Amer on the other hand didn't score that much for San Beda as he only scored 5 points, but his stability in orchestrating the plays of his team was superb. He's just a rookie but he is playing like he's a veteran. I'm sure that his predecessor, Borgie Hermida is happy for him.

The Stags' triple threat-the Pinatubo Trio, was unable to defend the Red Lions well as Calvin Abueva went into an early foul trouble. He accumulated 3 early fouls.

With 3:16 remaining in the first half, Stags' Rookie point Guard, Lyle Antipuesto spear headed a late run for San Sebastian. He fired 12 quick points after founding his right "puesto" on the floor. He fired crucial 2 pointers and 3 pointers that gave the lead to Baste. The 1st half ended with the score of 38-35 in favor of Baste.

In the 2nd half, the protagonists sharpened their defenses as both teams tried to capture the lead. Rome De La Rosa was making crucial buckets together with Jake Pascual which made their team tie the ball game at 52 at the end of 3rd quarter.

The last quarter turned bitter for the Stags as Coach Topex Robinson was thrown out of the playing court, and center Ian Sangalang being in foul trouble. Those misfortunes made them struggle and forced them to fire crucial buckets. The Red Lions grabbed this opportunity to take the lead from the Stags. From there they were able to stretch their lead to double-digits which was already impossible for the Stags to surmount. The game ended with the score of 75-63 in favor of the Beda.
