San Sebastian Golden Stags survived as they dispatch the Letran Knights in their do-or-die match, with the score of 63-56, in the NCAA season 87 semi-final round.

Calvin "the Beast" Abueva is still on his momentum as he made his 18th double-double this season- 20 points and 18 rebounds. He crashed the Knights' hope to the Finals in game 2.

But throughout the game, as usual, the Knights' Ace player Kevin Alas, still uplifts their team's hope as he fired back-to-back 3's from beyond the arc that tied the score with 4:55 left on the 4th quarter's game clock.

But the Stags' pinatubo trio became aggresive as they fired continuous buckets that enabled them to grab the lead, 61-53. Kevin Alas, hoping to tie the game through his bonus free throws, but a steal from Anthony Del Rio enabled Jovit Dela Cruz to make 2 fast-break points from his layup with 10.2 seconds remaining. Those lay-ups assured their victory and their slot in the upcoming NCAA Season 87 Men's Basketball Finals on Monday against San Beda.

The Stags will be facing the Lions starting on Monday for the best of 3 Finals series which will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
