The overpowering NU Bulldogs has listed their 2nd straight win against their fellow UAAP contender, the FEU Tamaraws, ending the match with a score of 85-74 in the elimination round of 2012 FilOil Flying V Pre-season Hanes Cup. The final score in this game was a lot closer unlike their first win against JRU which was a blowout one, 99-48.
Bobby Ray Parks Jr., was the top scorer of the match. He proved that he has already adjusted with his team as he tallied 29 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and played 32 mins. on the court.
Two mighty Tamaraws, Arvie Bringas and Roger Pogoy, were able to ignite a run in the last quarter but Parks together with De Guzman's unstoppable offense stopped the Tamaraws to list their 1st Win in the league.
Meanwhile, CSJL Knights managed to tally their 1st Win as they thrashed the UE Red Warriors, 64-56. Kevin Alas used his shining armor on this match as he showered 4 three-pointers, garnering 15 points in his 11 mins. of playing time.
Knights' head coach, Louie Alas stated that this game is not a win for them since UE committed too much turn-overs that made the game a lot easier for them. He strongly dubbed that "Defense was the key in this win."
