Reebok RealFlex Shoe Tech Review: Philippines' CrossFitness Shoe?

The perfect pair of shoes for CrossFitness has finally arrived in the Philippines courtesy of Reebok! They finally launched the Reebok "RealFlex" Shoes Yesterday, April 13, 2012 at EastWood City Libis! Luckily I was there to cover the event.

The newest Reebok Shoes is called the Reebok RealFlex! Yeah, you heard that right. It is indeed a pair of shoes that flexes to the max! Move, Box Jump, Run, Do Air Squats, Use the Jumping Rope and train your body as if you're not wearing any shoes because of the independent multi directional nodes at its out-soles that tend to flex as you move. The nodes join your foot as it moves producing a natural shoe movement that you'll surely love.

Here's a closer look at the out-soles of the shoes showing the multi-directional nodes that help your feet flex better and eventually move better.

The Shoes has a Dual Pull Sytem. I personally call that Dual Pull because aside from the plain upper mesh covering of the shoes, it also has a bit of plastic coating that improves the lock-down support of the shoes. As you can see the clear plastic that covers majority of the upper part of the Shoes. It serves to increase the lockdown support of the shoes as well as for better lateral support when you move laterally or when you cut hard in you running workouts.

And Speaking of the improved lateral support and foot protection. The shoes has soles that aim to give a better balance and lateral support. It has bigger nodes that are strategically placed around the out-soles that promotes better lateral support and improved balance.

With regard to Comfort the shoes has a Mesh upper all throughout for optimum breath-ability. And also, when I first slid in my foot in the shoe I felt a significant softness in the sock-liner and in inner part of the shoes. The shoe kinda molds to my foot. Really comfortable inside. I also tried walking a little with the shoe and I must say that it is very comfortable.

With regard to the available Colorways of the shoes, here they are:

By the way, the retail price of the shoes is 4,295 pesos in the Philippines about 99 dollars in the United States. Expect it to be out in a few days in your favorite SM Department Stores, Toby's Stores and Reebok Stores Nationwide.

In my next post I will provide a more extensive performance review. I'll try running and doing some CrossFit workouts with this new pair of shoes. Reebok gave me a pair and thus, I can really do a shoe performance review so stay tuned guys! Expect videos to go along with my personal experience write-up about this shoe.
