The San Sebastian Stags are already one-step away from a quarterfinals berth in the FilOil Flying V Pre-season Hanes Cup as they vanquished the EAC Generals, 83-68, and wiped the Generals' quarterfinals hopes.

But sadly in this game another unfortunate event happened. A brawl happened between the Stags' Michael Miranda and Michael Juico, who had just got back from his knee injury, against Igee King of the Generals. Miranda and King called for disqualying fouls respectively that led to their ejection. Juico just got a tech. foul for 2nd motion.

During the match, Abueva (19pts, 16rebs and 7assts.) and Sangalang able to control the match and stopped EAC to produce a run.

On the other hand, the Generals played minus their 2-scorers- Jan Jamon and Russel Yaya, who were currently suffering injuries.

Jorem Morada and Nikki Monteclaro took over the scoring for EAC. They kept their hopes up as they showered treys that almost tied the score in the latter part of the 4th Quarter, but the Stags remained composed as they still won the game despite the adversities.
