By Kristina Caramel Sy

The DLSU Green Archers eluded the late charge of the UE Red Warriors in the 3rd quarter to eventually notch their 2nd win in the UAAP Season 75. The final score of their game against UE was 67-59.

The reliable Rookie of La Salle, Jeron Teng stepped-up for the Taft Squad as he contributed 16 points and 5 rebounds to help the cause of his team. His efforts helped the Green Archers extend their lead in the 4th Quarter. They led by as much as 10 points in the most critical part of the 4th Quarter. That 10 point lead pressured UE to commit some missed shots late in the game.

Going back into the earlier parts of the the match... the game started slow and close as both teams replied to each other's baskets. But UE suddenly became cold in the last 5 mins of the game. The DLSU Green Archers took advantage of the situation. They managed to produce a 12-0 run that blew their lead up to 11 points courtesy of the combined efforts of Jeron Teng and LA Revilla.

Jeron and LA's scoring tandem kept the Green Archers on the lead and eventually win the ball game. The UE Red Warriors are still win-less while DLSU is now on a 2 game winning streak.

With this win, Coach Gee Abanilla of DLSU stated that "i'm very happy with the
record. But, still, we have a long way to go. We'll try different combinations. We want to get better as this season goes on. We will go back to our gym and work on what we need to work on."

Meanwhile, Jeron Teng admitted that "Kulang pa, bad start e. A lot of turnovers.
I need more improvement on that one."
