Philippines Could Still Be FIBA Asia Championship 2013 's Host According To Noli Eala's Tweet

"If you love and want something set it free if it comes back it's yours." That's the first thing that came into my mind when I saw Mr. Noli Eala's Tweet a while ago.

The tweet is about the Philippines having a slim chance of being the host of FIBA Asia Championship 2013.

I can still remember the feeling that I had when I heard that Lebanon was chosen over the Philippines to host next year's FIBA Asia Championship. I was so sad during that time, but now that the Philippines' bid to be next year's host has been revived, I think I am the happiest person alive. That's true. I'm just being honest because I honestly believe that we need that break. It will not only benefit our basketball program, it will also improve our country's status Tourism wise. The Philippines is a basketball Haven! Wouldn't you like that label?

Hopefully this one is true. I can't wait for that day to finally come. I can already feel a sense of redemption in this one.

To those who don't know, few weeks ago, a news about the hostile situation in Lebanon broke out. That's probably the reason why the FIBA Asia Officials are looking for a new host country.

According to Hagop Khajirian, a FIBA Asia secretary:

"The Philippines would be on line to get the 2013 hosting rights should Lebanon later declare unpreparedness to do the event as it did in 2011."

That will probably explain the rationale behind this news.
