Dulce Pante Retires From Coaching Adamson Lady Falcons: She's An Unforgettable Coach!
Dulce means sweet in Spanish. That probably explains why Coach Dulce Pante a.k.a. Mommy Dulce is such a well loved volleyball coach in the UAAP.
After 35 long years of Coaching the Adamson Lady Falcons in the UAAP, Mommy Dulce has finally called it quits. She has already retired from coaching the Adamson Lady Falcons.
Mommy Dulce has become a vital part of the UAAP. Her funny antics on the volleyball court as well as her unique style of coaching made the league more colorful.
That’s the reason why a lot of people got sad when they heard the news about Mommy Dulce’s retirement.
They can’t help but to reminisce the good old days, back when Mommy Dulce was still actively and passionately coaching the Lady Falcons.
She led the Lady Falcons to the UAAP Women’s Volleyball Finals twice. In their first trip to the Finals they went up against the DLSU Lady Archers. They were beaten in that series. Their second trip was identical to the first one. They also lost to the FEU Lady Tamaraws.
"Habulin nyo yan" "Nagdudumale!" "Ayusin nyo yan" "Day, konting bilis" "Atin na 'to" "Kukunin na namin 'to", were some of the most memorable lines that Mommy Dulce popularized throughout her years in the UAAP.
She will definitely be missed a lot, not only by her players but also by the millions of UAAP fans all over the Philippine Archipelago.
With regard to the new coach of the Lady Falcons, coach Sherwin Meneses will be the replacement of Mommy Dulce once the UAAP Season 75 starts on December 1, 2012. That’s according to my reliable source.
