JayJay Helterbrand Comments On Herbert Hill 's Performance Last Night For Ginebra San Miguel!
I got the opportunity to watch the first game of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in the PBA Season 38 Commissioner’s Cup and just like in their tune-up games, it was a bit shaky. But still, good thing they were able to catch-up and cut the lead of Air21 in the 2nd Half.
Unfortunately for them, Cool Cat Mike Cortez had a great 4th quarter run. He was shooting threes and attacking the basket consistently, without any hesitation against LA Tenorio.
Michael Dunigan was also unstoppable all throughout the game. Herbert Hill can’t seem to stop his hook shots and power moves inside the shaded lane.
Dunigan tallied a total of 26 points (Team High), 19 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 blocks for Air 21 en route to beating BGSM, 74-70. He did it all for Ube Republic.
Unlike Dunigan, Hill started the game on a wrong foot, shooting only 0 out of 10 from the field in the whole 1st half. He stepped up quite a bit in the 2nd half, but it was not enough to carry BGSM over Air21. He ended the game with 17 points on 7/24 FG Shooting, 25 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 blocks.
JayJay Helterbrand, one of the locals who played well for BGSM last night commented on Hill's performance.
“Maybe we need an import that’s more dominating. And he’s (Dunigan) probably one of the top imports right now because he did it all for his team. He carries them (Express) to victory.” C/O Mr. Richard Dy of Spin.ph
Do you agree with JayJay? Does Ginebra really need a more dominant import?
In line with this, as early as now, there are rumors saying that Ginebra is looking to tap either Donnel Harvey or Team Nigeria’s Olumide Oyedeji as the possible replacement of Hill.
