Ginebra Gets Number 1 Pick In PBA Draft 2013 This Coming November 3
By BallersPinas
Manila, Philippines -- The long wait is finally over. The Team that's entitled to get the first overall pick in the upcoming PBA Draft 2013 this November 3 is none other than Ginebra.
17 years have passed since the last time Ginebra got the Top Pick in the person of the lanky big man out of Adamson, Marlou Aquino. And now, the Ginebra fans will once again witness history as their beloved team has secured the number one pick by virtue of Air21 winning this year's PBA Draft lottery which happened during the halftime of the PBA Governors' Cup Finals Game 1 between Petron and SanMig.
We recall that Air21 and Ginebra got involved in a trade. Ginebra sent John Wilson and KG Canaleta to the Express in exchange for the Air21's 1st Round Pick.
Ginebra will get a rare opportunity to choose from a star studded group of PBA Aspirants that has the likes of Ateneo standout Greg Slaughter, former San Sebastian big man Ian Sangalang and current NCAA Season 89 leading MVP Candidate from the Letran Knights Raymond Almazan.
Meanwhile, SanMig Coffee will have the rights on the Second pick (from GlobalPort Batang Pier). Rain or Shine, on the other hand will pick next after the Coffee Mixers.
