Gordon Hayward Blocks LeBron James in 2nd Qtr, Then Nails the Game Winner at The End of Regulation: VIDEO, Utah Jazz defeats Cleveland Cavaliers
Gordon Hayward has probably claimed his one shining moment this Season earlier today after completing a chase down block on LeBron James on one end and then immediately rushing to the other side of the court for a two-hand dunk in the 2nd quarter of the highly contested game between the Utah Jazz and the Cleveland Cavaliers. That play and his on-court hustle boosted the morale of his teammates and carried them over a tough team like the Cavs.
On top of that, the Utah Jazz swingman also nailed a difficult step-back jumper in the dying seconds of the regulation to propel the Jazz to a 102-100 victory over LeBron James and the star studded Cleveland Team.
Here's how he maneuvered for that game winning shot that set Twitter on fire. Gordon skillfully moved out of the defense of LeBron. He then received the inbounds pass, slowly dribbled, drove to the basket and then he suddenly stopped on dime for a beautiful step back shot on the right side of the court. The shot was all good at the buzzer. Hayward finished the game with 21 big points.
To his doubters, give the 5th-year guy a break. As you can see, he is proving day in and day out that he deserves the max contract that the Jazz gave him during the off-season. He is improving by leaps and bounds. To back that up, just watch the videos below. His offensive and defensive skills are getting better as time goes by.
